If you took the minipet back into your inventory, then how did Wasabi sell it for the buyout?

Wasabi sold it for the buyout.
If that part of your post was a lie, then I wonder what other parts are also lies.......

I've gotten my mini norn bear already as well: people just need to deal -it's minipets for crying out loud.
People need to calm down and stop throwing accusations at the tip of a hat.

Accusations of what, exactly? People knew AP gave this minipet to a guildie. The guildie, wanting to make a quick dollar (or several thousand, in this case), sold the item instead of holding onto it. I'd say this reflects more on the poor actions of the guildie than Andrew Patrick.
Hopefully everyone knows not to give anything to said guildie in the future - it'll just get sold immediately.

Agreed and between his horrible sense in fashion (dread mask+fow armor+chaos gloves? ) coupled with the hooplah created when he sold the darn thing, he should be the one to blame, not AP.

The minipet was bought back if I remember correctly. So in fact he did not lie, and got it back ASAP from Wasabi once Wasabi reclaimed it from the person who bought it.
And thank you Andrew for stepping up and informing us of what happened.

You sell a minipet ASAP! In case you haven't noticed minis DECREASE in price.
You flip your mini, get hundreds of additional ectos. After a few months you buy another mini for half the price.
Who would pass up free $? No one with half a brain.

Perhaps you should reevaluate your definition of friendship. Clearly, some people care more about pixel funds than the integrity and reputation of those who consider them comrades.

Yeah but he should have known the uproar it would have caused within the community for obtaining and selling a mini long before the date at which everyone was told they would be receiving theirs. It's not rocket science folks...
EDIT: Hi Wasabi.

I'd have done the same thing in your position. Only, I'd have chosen a more trustworthy friend.

Agree'd, even if Andrew didn't care if he sold it, that was my first thought.

I think I saw him trying to sell that spider early... In Kamadan, was it?
Anyway, as people have said, we blame Wasabi.

The biggest casualty is the reputation of that seller ("friend"). For good reason I might add.
He's often seen in K1 selling high end minis/items. I'm not going to be the only one rolling my eyes, and wondering who "gave" him that next item he has for sale.

It's really not Wasabi's fault. Neither of us realized I shouldn't have had it yet, and I was the one who really should have thought about it, not him. I did not specify that he could not or should not sell it, and once I got in touch with him and told him about the big "oops" he very promptly got it back for me. I mean within 5 minutes, I was quite impressed actually heh.

I think it might be too late(reputation wise) for that certain someone in a lot of people's (guru) eyes.

Greed is much harder to forgive than an honest mistake made in the spirit of giving, Andrew. You gotta admit that much. Being a trader that is 'in the know,' and even saying "This is prolly the first in game!" is enough to realize he knew what he had, even if you didn't.
Yes, it's quite easy to blame Wasabi, IMO.
EDIT: Two posts above me... wow. I guess that is a great show of character.
